English Language Learner & International Student Advocate & Advisor
- Assistance with navigating the Ontario school system
- Education related to ESL (English as a Second Language) and ELD (English Literacy Development) programs and services
- Support accessing community services
- Advising parents/guardians on how they can encourage and promote language development at home
- Assistance with interpreting student learner profiles and how parents/guardians can best advocate for their child/teen’s learning needs
- Coaching parents/guardians on how they can support the development of essential learning skills at home (e.g., study skills, organizational skills, time management skills, collaboration skills, communication skills, self-regulation skills, etc.)
- Support completing school and/or government documentation (e.g., student permits, student Visas, etc.)
